PURPOSE:To realize normal electrification and to obtain an excellent image without the inversion fogging by increasing the opportunity for the electrified developer having the reverse polarity to be brought in contact with the developer carrier surface, in the contact part for the control member of the one component developer and the developer carrier. CONSTITUTION:In the device, the developing blade 1 of the regulation member is composed of the soft nonconductive elastic member 1a, the conductive layer 1b laminated and held thereon and dielectric layer 1c disposed on the face at least opposing the developing sleeve 3, and the supperimposed voltage impressing means is placed by which the voltage is impressed to the conductive layer 1b for generating the electric field E, in the nip 4 of the contact part, so as to applying the force attracting the positively electrifiable toner T1 to the surface of the developing sleeve 3. As the blade 1 is provided with flexible elasticity, the toner T is not brought in the state of packing, and the opportunity for the negatively electrifiable toner T2 to be brought into contact with the surface of the sleeve 3 is increased by the force of the electric field E, hence the negatively electrifiable toner T2 can be positively electrified and reduced, consequently the objective can be attained. |
