MALFUNCTION DETECTING METHOD FOR CONTROLLER OF MOTOR OPERATED VEHICLE AND THE CONTROLLER USING THE SAME METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a method for detecting a malfunction and a controller for a motor operated vehicle having high reliability by detecting and informing the malfunction of drive signal transmitting means for transmitting the signal from control means to power converting means at the time of starting or operating the controller, preventing an erroneous operation and early discovering troubles. CONSTITUTION:A command of a drive signal 18 of control means 1 to be output from a microprocessor 10 and drive command generating means 9 and transmitted to power element drive means 11 of a converting means 2 through drive signal transmitting means 20 is repeated as a feedback signal 13 to feedback signal generating means 21 of the means 2 to be simultaneously transmitted with the signal 18. The microprocessor 10 verifies the coincidence of the signals 18 and 13, and detects the malfunction of the means 20. When the malfunction is detected, the closing of a solenoid switch 7 is inhibited to prevent an erroneous operation. The malfunction is informed by a malfunction display unit 17 and troubles are early discovered.
