发明名称 NONAQUEOUS SOLVENT SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To suppress the increase in internal resistance, the decrease in discharge capacity and lengthen cycle life by conducting preliminary discharge by 1-20% of the positive electrode capacity after assembly of a battery having a positive electrode containing vanadium pentoxide and a negative electrode made of lithium and a carbon material serving as the carrier of lithium. CONSTITUTION:Vanadium pentoxide serving as an active material, carbon black serving as a conductive material, and polytetrafluoroethylene serving as a binder are mixed, kneaded, and molded in a pellet to form a positive electrode. Carbon powder and a binder are mixed, kneaded, and molded in a pellet, then lithium is contained in the pellet to for a negative electrode. The positive electrode 2 is placed inside a stainless steel positive container 1 through a positive current collector 3 made of stainless steel expanded metal. A separator 4 made of polypropylene nonwoven fabric in which an electrolyte is impregnated is placed on the positive electrode 2. The negative electrode 7 is placed inside a stainless steel negative container 5 through a negative current collector 6. An insulating gasket 5 is fit to the opening of the container 1, and the container 1 is coalked to assemble a battery. The battery is preliminarily discharged by 1-20% of the positive electrode capacity before use.
