<p>PURPOSE:To prevent or suppress such development with transfer defects or the like even when various kinds of transfer material such as a thick material are used, by incorporating a specified amt. of metal nitride fine particles having a specified average particle size into magnetic toner particles. CONSTITUTION:The developer contains metal nitride fine particles having 0.5-5.0mum average particle size by 0.01-5.0 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of magnetic toner particles. By this method, the metal nitride particles are stuck on the surface of toner particles in the developer 110 in the transfer process for image formation. Since the metal nitride particles have almost no triboelectric property so that these particles prevent adhesion between an electrostatic charge image carrier 101 and toner particles due to electrostatic force and improve the release property of the toner particles from the electrostatic charge image carrier 101. Thereby, even when a transfer means 103 is arranged in contact with the surface of the electrostatic charge image carrier 101 with a transfer material P interposed, an image formed on the surface of the electrostatic charge image carrier 101 can be transferred in a good state to the transfer material P.</p> |
