The bodywork (5) is carried on the damper strut (1) and the spring (1') whose upper end is seated in the cup (9') which is attached to the piston rod (2") of the damper and swivels on the bearing (7). A flexible gaiter (11) covers the exposed length of the rod. A stub axle (3) is connected to the lower end of the strut and carries the front wheel (3') and its drive shaft (3"). The lower end of the spring seats in the cup (9") which slides on the strut, and is restrained by the cup (10) which seats in the lower portion (2') of the damper strut.
