The stop device comprises a first component (1) for releasable coupling with a second component. One of the components has a sprung lock part (3) for producing a mechanical locking with the second component. A stop part (10) is movable between a lock position where it prevents uncoupling of the sprung lock part. The stop part has a lock part (14) which in the locked position acts together with a lock part (7) on the sprung lock component to lock the latter. The stop part permanently engages in the first component. The lock part has at least one cavity (14) and the lock part (7) working with it incorporates at least one projection which fits into the cavity when the stop part is in the locked position.
