Air conditioning system for interior of electrically powered vehicle

The system has a first reactor (1) containing a first solid reactant that combines with a reactive fluid in a reversible exothermic reaction. The reactive fluid is generated (2) by a reversible endothermic reaction, and delivered through a circuit (3,4). An air circuit has one part (9) in thermal communication with the first reactor and a second part (10) in thermal communication with the source of reactive fluid. A third and fourth parts of the air circuit exchange heat with the interior of the vehicle and with the outside air. The direction of air flow can be reversed to reverse the direction of heat transfer.
