Process and apparatus for manufacturing a multi-layer complex textile structure consisting of non-woven fibrous laps (2, 3), between which is incorporated a reinforcing structure consisting of continuous threads or filaments (5), the various constituents being bound to one another by the interlacing of the fibres of the laps. According to the invention, two non-woven laps (2, 3), in which the elementary fibres are arranged preferably in a longitudinal direction, are produced, then there is incorporated between these two laps (2, 3) a lap (4) of transversely arranged and mutually spaced weft threads (5) which is produced immediately upstream of the junction line (6) between the two non-woven laps (2, 3), and, downstream of this junction zone (6), the formed complex is subjected to the action of mechanical treatment making it possible to implant the fibres of one lap (2) into the other lap (3) (and, if appropriate, vice versa), the homogeneous complex subsequently being wound up. <IMAGE> |
