The support comprises a tube which widens into a bell shape (4) at the top, and is split along its length to form two lips (1) between which the rod of the stick is pressed. The top part is flattened so that it does not move around the user's body. The back of the bell-shaped part is joined to a ring by a fastener similar to a seat belt fastener, or by a magnet. The ring is fixed to the belt by a loop of hooked pile fasteners (6) which goes right round the belt.
