PURPOSE:To provide a cryostat which can prevent the deformation of a heat shielding plate and always shows good heat shielding function even when a magnetic field suddenly and remarkably changes as in the case where quench is generated. CONSTITUTION:In a cryostat comprising a vacuum heat insulating layer and providing, in such vacuum heat insulating layer, a heat shielding plate 3 to be cooled by a cooling source to prevent entry of radiated heat, the heat shielding palte 3 is formed in the composite structure of the layer 11 which is mainly used for conduction of heat and the layer 10 which is mainly used for holding mechanical strength. |
