PURPOSE:To simplify the facility of each reception station and to reduce running cost by downloading the music program read from the data base provided on a transmission station with video signals and character information to each reception station by utilizing a communication satellite line. CONSTITUTION:On a transmission side, video and sound signals are read from a data base 1, the signals are reproduced in an automatic playing part 2, the video and sounds signals are outputted, the character information from a character program preparation part 6 is superposed on the video signals in an information superposition part 3, the sound signals are multiplexed on the video signals, the signals are outputted and they are transmitted to a communication satellite in a CS transmission part 7. On a reception side, the radio waves from the communication satellite are received by a CS reception part 10, the reception signals are demodulated in a demodulation part 11, video and sound signals and character information are extracted, they are outputted, the outputs are stored in plural signal storage parts 12a, etc., the outputs are read by the request from each receiver 17A, etc., they are decoded in a signal decoding part 13A, etc., and the video, sound and character signals are transmitted to the requested receiver. |
