PURPOSE:To provide equipment for informing its position to a base station without request from the base station even when involved in any traffic accidents or fires by providing a sensor means, position information investigating means and transmitting means for the position information investigating means to transmit position information to the base station. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is composed of a temperature detecting means 201, a time measuring means 202, a pocket beeper 203 which is an incoming call detecting means, a GPS receiver 204 which is the position information finding means, a transmission part 205, a battery 206 for supplying power to respective parts, and a control part 207 for controlling the power supply from the battery 206, or the like. When a subject carrying this portable equipment is involved in fire or any traffic accidents, sensor means 201 and 202 or the like detect abnormality in the temperature of external air caused by the fire or abnormality in the external air caused by smoke or abnormal shock caused by the traffic accident. Then, the GPS receiver 204 checks the present position and the transmission part 205 transmits the position information found by the GPS receiver 204 to the base station. |
