<p>PURPOSE:To easily and surely prevent the generation of a striking sound at the time of performance by an electronic sound source during long term use even if such generation takes place with a piano constituted to enable the performance by the electronic sound sources in addition to ordinary piano performance. CONSTITUTION:When a key 11 is pressed in an electronic sound source mode, a hammer shank stop rail 31 and a catcher regulating button 33 prohibits the striking action of a hammer 23 before this hammer comes into contact with a string 25. The prohibition of the striking action at an initial prescribed position is no longer possible in case of deformation of the parts for prohibiting the hammer 23 of the key which are highly frequently used among the cushion felts 31a, 33b arranged on these rails 31, 32. At this time, a screw 33a is rotated to make the posture of the hammer 23 when the catcher regulating button 33 prohibits the striking action coincident with the posture when the striking action is prohibited in the initial prescribed position.
