PURPOSE:To improve the preserving characteristic at a high temperature by restraining the decomposition of electrolyte by a positive electrode active material by adding a boron compound acting as catalyst poison. CONSTITUTION:In a nonaqueous type battery having a negative electrode 2 by using lithium as a negative electrode active material and a positive electrode 1 by using lithium-transition metal composite oxide expressed by a formula of LiXNi1-YCoYOZ (provided that, 0<X<1.3, 0<=Y<=1 and 1.8<Z<2.2) as a positive electrode active material, a boron compound is added to the positive electrode active material so that the rate of boron to transition metal in the positive electrode active material becomes 0.15 to 15 mole %. |
