A stackable container, partic. for transport, stock and presentation of perishable foodstuffs, has a base (2), a lateral outside wall (3) between the base and a free top edge (4) and a cover (5). The container has drain holes (6) connecting the inside to the outside to drain fluids, e.g. exudates. The container also has channels (7) so that, when stacked, the fluids from the drain hole of an upper container run down the channels of the lower ones. The containers are made of insulating material, partic. expanded polystyrene.
