PURPOSE:To visually judge the degree of proximity of a noncontact medium with ease and to prevent the noncontact medium processor from defectively responding by providing a stepwise display means which visually displays the state of a communication with the medium in steps. CONSTITUTION:An automatic ticket examining machine body 3 having opening/ closing doors 1 and 2, i.e., a gate is provided. This automatic ticket examining machine body 3 has an insertion slot 4 into which a contact type magnetic ticket is inserted and a discharge slot 5 where the magnetic ticket is discharged, and a transmitting and receiving antenna 7 which sends and receives signals or/and electric power to and from the noncontact medium 6 is arranged at the top deck 8 of the automatic ticket issuing machine body 3; when a card 6 is put close to the transmitting and receiving antenna 7 at ticket collection time, a communication between the card 6 and transmitting and receiving antenna 7 is made to read and write card data. Then an LED display unit 9 as the stepwise display means which displays the state of difficulty in communication with the card 6 in steps is arranged at the top deck 8. |
