CASSETTE ATTACHING AND DETACHING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simplify mechanisms and to reduce the thickness and size thereof by executing vertical movement and horizontal movement of a cassette by the vertical moving mechanism and horizontal moving mechanism which are independent from each other. CONSTITUTION:The cassette 90 is held in a cassette holding member 30 when a cap 8 is opened and the cassette 90 is inserted longitudinally from a cassette insertion port 7. The cassette 90 is moved to the prescribed cassette insertion position by the vertical moving mechanism 40 when the cassette 90 is further pushed in from this state. The state of the mechanism 40 in the cassette insertion position is maintained by a stopper mechanism 60. The cassette is moved to the prescribed cassette loading position by the horizontal moving mechanism 50 cooperatively with the closing operation of the cap 8 when the cap 8 is closed from this state. The state of the mechanism 50 in this cassette loading position is maintained by the mechanism 60. Taking out of the cassette is executed by releasing the stopper of the respective mechanisms by the mechanism 60.
