A device including an impermeable glove (1) combined with a sponge (2) and provided with an air suction duct (3) with open-ended branches (30), and a portable air suction power unit (60) connected to the duct (3) by tubing (300). The power unit includes an interchangeable inlet filter (51), a suction unit between the filter and a filtered air outlet (55), a fan driving motor and a battery with an external adjustment control (58), said tubing (300) being connected to the filter inlet and attached to the user's clothes by releasable fasteners (5). When used for cleaning surfaces using volatile solvents which give off undesirable vapours, the device sucks in the vapours in the immediate vicinity of where they are produced, retains them and filters them out before releasing the filtered air into the atmosphere. |
