PURPOSE: To trigger capture discharge at low starting strength of electric field by providing an insulating part with an electrode on an outside surface, so that an insulating material bridge is made between a free end of a center electrode with one end grounded and an outside electrode. CONSTITUTION: A lightning conductor 100 of metal contains an end 112 of an grounded electrode, a vertical center electrode 110 with a free end 111 projecting towards the sky, an insulating part 121 with a circular and symmetric outside surface 121a which surrounds it and neighbors the free end 111, and a conductive electrode 122 surrounding a part of the outside surface 121a. The insulating part 121 comprises semicircular polymer material or ceramic material and has a high dielectric resistance, mechanical strength, no wettability and resisting characteristic with respect to the ambient condition. The outside electrode 122 does not cover a recessed and oblique surface 121a of the insulating part 121 and has a circular opening 122a, while an insulating material bridge is formed between the free end 111 and itself. |
