PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of foreign-language document generation on a person whose vocabulary and grammatical knowledge of the foreign language are insufficient. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a Japanese-language text input part 1 which takes Japanese-language text data as the input to perform the morpheme analysis processing accompanied with KANA(Japanese syllabary)-KANJI(Chinese character) conversion, a translation processing control part 2 which starts translation processing procedures of inputted Japanese-language text data in accordance with the translation processing form designated by a document generator, a Japanese syntax analysis part 3 which performs the syntax analysis processing of Japanese-language text data based on the morpheme analysis result, a foreign-language text generating part 4 which generates foreign-language text data from the syntax analysis result by conversion, a foreign-language text display part 5 which displays generated foreign-language text data, a data storage part 8 where dictionaries and processing rules for KANA-KANJI conversion and translation processings are held, an idiomatic expression dictionary 7 where idiomatic expressions are held, and an idiomatic expression conversion part 6 which collates inputted Japanese-language text data with idiomatic expressions held there and converts verts the idiomatic expression part to a foreign-language expression at the time of finding a matching pattern. |
