The foam body is manufactured from a ceramic structure of deformable elements. The ceramic structure is composed of several tubular formed sections of the deformable elements. The plastics foam is a polyurethane foam. The method of producing the deformable elements is such that the ceramic structure is situated in a hollow member and results in enclosing the foam inlet. The foam of the ceramic structure penetrates and binds with inner walls of the member.
