Pulling wires and/or optical fibres into fabric hose

The rod (9) with a sleeve-shaped end (32) has the latter pressed against a counter-bearing (24) and held at this end. The wires and/or optical fibres (30) are firmly inserted into the sleeve-shaped end of the rod. The opposite rod end (71) is guided between several rotary mounted rollers (2) driven in opposite directions. A fabric hose (4) is inserted onto the rod from the end opposite to the sleeve-shaped end. The fabric hose is engaged by the oppositely rotating rollers, pushed in the direction of the wires etc. and thus compressed and widened. Then it is severed near the rollers. The severed and widened hose is manually pushed over the wires etc. after the rod has been released from the counter-bearing.
