Rolling stand

The rolling stand for a pair of working rolls incorporates a frame structure with a space and guide surfaces for the side plates (11, 12) of an insertable roll cassette. The cassette has guide elements (13, 14) for two pairs of chocks (15,16) supporting working rolls (30,31) together with their bearings. The chocks forming a pair are joined to one another with a variable distance by means of adjusting spindles (20, 21) - which are provided with collars (45) interacting with elements (46) on the side plates (11, 12) - taking up the rolling forces.
