A method for producing a shaped section (1) by cold roll forming a steel strip. The method comprises the steps of lubricating and preforming the strip by making a first fold (3a, 4a) along the longitudinal edge of the strip, and a second fold (3b, 4b) along the longitudinal edge of the first fold (3a, 4a), thus forming a longitudinal channel underneath the section web (2), removing the lubricant, drying the preformed portion of the strip, feeding an anticorrosive material (5) into the channel, bending the first and second folds to form a flange (3, 4) perpendicular to the section web (2), and spreading the anticorrosive material (5) over the opposed surfaces of said flange. A shaped section produced according to said method, and a cold roll forming train for carrying out the method, are also disclosed.
