An industrial strip-chart type process recorder has an enclosure (1) in which the principal recording components comprise a multi-stylus graphics unit (20), a paper feed system (10) and various signal processing circuit boards (30) together with signal (31) and power supply (40) plug contacts. The components are retained in their relative positions by slide-rails (3) fixed securely within the enclosure (1) and permit easy component withdrawal for servicing etc. Without recourse to dismantling.
