Overload protection sensor

The sensor measures the tread wt. for each step and generates a signal when an adjustable limit value is exceeded. The sensor is a combination of a tactile force sensor (1), a limit adjustment arrangement, a battery (6) and a signal generator (7). The combined sensor package is built into a corresp. mobility aid. The package can be mounted at the tread position of a plaster foot cast worn by the patient. The force sensor is a single metal part which acts as a flexural beam.
