In comparison with sliding bearings which run in a low-noise manner, ballbearings have the advantage that they can be subjected to higher radial loads. In fact, the firm seat of the ball-bearing on the rotor shaft results in difficulties because of the ball-bearing rings being pulled on obliquely, which difficulties have a negative influence on the bearing noise and the life of the ball-bearings. This disadvantage is avoided according to the invention in that one ball-bearing (17, 19) is arranged, pulled onto the bearing surfaces (21, 23) in a floating manner, on each of the ends of the rotor shaft (25). In consequence, oblique seating of the ball-bearing inner rings (27, 29) on the rotor shaft (25) is largely precluded, as a result of which the bearing noise is reduced in comparison with known arrangements, and the lives of the ball-bearings (17, 19) are increased. <IMAGE> |
