Biodegradable absorbent product for industrial use. This absorbent product is in the form of crumbs, of density between 0.3 and 0.4 g/cm<3>, and consists of flax chaff and of a binding agent in the form of a mixture of at least one animal fat and of a lignosulphonate. This product makes it possible to obtain excellent absorption, and extended use and ease of recovery.
