PURPOSE:To reduce as much of the time for the door to reach its full-closed position as possible even if a vehicle is full and to escape from the door without reopening or reclosing the door. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle door closing device using a double-acting fluid pressure cylinder 20 as a door closing machine is provided with a door driving force decrease means 14 for decreasing the force to open or close the door by increasing the internal pressure of a low- pressure side pressure chamber during the movement of the cylinder and a control portion 16 for controlling the door driving force decrease means by outputting a command to decrease the door driving force according to detection of someone being caught in doors 29, 30 during opening and closing stroke or detection of the full-open or full-closed state of the doors. The door driving force decrease means comprises a door driving force decrease valve 60 which is a solenoid valve by which a passage for connection to the low-pressure side pressure chamber is switched in response to a command from a discharging state to a state of being connected to a pressure fluid source. A pressure regulating valve 61 is provided between the door driving force decrease valve and the pressure fluid source. Direction-switching solenoid valves provided to correspond to both pressure chambers are switched by the door driving force decrease means so that the pressure chamber being connected to the discharge side is switched to the pressure fluid source. |
