In case of 15m <= the car-to-car distance, a throttle mechanism is controlled to reduce the car-to-car distance (Step 820 and 840) In case of 10m < the car-to-car distance <15m, the tendency of the variation of the car-to-car distance is detected, and when it is extending across a specific value, the throttle mechanism is controlled (Step 850), and when it is reducing across a specific value, the braking mechanism is controlled (Step 850), and when the variation amount is small, the present condition is maintained (Step 870).</p>
