PURPOSE:To provide a container-shaped multilayer filter which possesses the excellent integral shaping workability in the thermal press forming for manufacture, proper shape keeping performance, and the excellent filter performance. CONSTITUTION:A container-shaped multilayer filter 5 is constituted so that extremely fine fiber nonwoven fabric 2 having an average fiber diameter of 0.5-6.0mum and a lamination body consisting of the thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber nonwoven fabrics 1 and 3 having each average fiber diameter of 10-100mum are joined at least at a part, and the integral shaping to a container shape having a flange part 10 and a shaped part 11 extended from the flange part 10 is performed, Further, the apparent density of the extremely fine fiber nonwoven fabric 2 is 0.05-0.5g/m<3>, and the breakage elongation under the shaping temperature of the thermoplastic synthetic resin fiber nonwoven fabrics 2 and 3 is 50% or more.
