PURPOSE:To enhance the article strength and modulus of flexural elasticity by coiling reinforcing fiber as immersing the fiber in a sizing agent solution, on the outer peripheral surface of the core of a mandrel with a desired angle, and lapping glass non-woven fabric thereon before drying the sizing agent solution to maintain it at a coiling angle. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel 5 is covered with a core comprising a pliable tube 2, and then it is put into a linear-reciprocal movement by driving means in the rotating action and axial direction. On the other hand, reinforcing fiber 3 is drawn out of the roll 6, and then immersed in a vessel 10 with a sizing agent solution 9 reserved therein through an eye 7 and tension roller 8, for coiling the reinforcing fiber 3 onto the outer surface of the pliable tube 2. Next, before the sizing agent solution clung to the reinforcing fiber 3 evaporates and dries, glass non-woven fabric 4 is lapped on the entire outer peripheral surface of the reinforcing fiber 3. The lapping is strongly carried out to such an extent that the reinforcing fiber 3 can not be moved. |
