<p>PURPOSE:To build a horn switch favourable in workability and inexpensive in an air bag device. CONSTITUTION:An air bag device 14 is installed in a steering wheel main body. A pair of horn switches 40, 41 is installed between an air bag 28 and a cover body 33 of the air bag device 14. The horn switches 40, 41 are formed of a disc type switch 50 sandwiching an elastic body 44 between upper and lower side contact members 42, 43 made of metal and a plastic deformable support arm part 47 extensively provided from this lower side contact member 43. An inside edge part 42a of the upper side contact member 42 is formed in a wave shape, and a projected part projected to the lower side of a tear line 38 is formed. When the cover body 33 is pressed, the upper and lower contact members 42, 43 make contact with each other, and a horn device is actuated. When the air bag 28 is expanded and unfolded, the support arm part 47 is plastic deformed, and the cover body 33 ruptured by the tear line 38 is unfolded with the disc type switch 50. Consequently, even when the neighbourhood of the tear line 38 of the cover body 33 is pressed, the horn device is certainly actuated.</p> |
