PURPOSE:To enable excellent image quality and a drop out characteristic to be obtained in use for a magnetic medium by a method wherein a wound posture is excellent and a film surface is difficult to be injured since a particle size and a content of a contained particle are made within specific ranges and further an air leak index is also made within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented film is obtained wherein a particle A of 0.05-3mum mean particle size is contained by 0.1-10wt.%, an air leak index of at least one side surface is 1X10<2>-2X10<4>sec, and an F5 value of at least one direction in a longitudinal direction and a width direction is 12kg/mm<2> or over (where 0.2d<=t<=10d is satisfied.). |
