The generator comprises an enclosure (110) housing a light source and incorporating an ellipsoid portion (111) with a reflective surface, the light source being placed at the focal point located in this portion. Advantageously this portion is a semi-ellipsoid portion and the enclosure (110) also has an annular, semi-spherical portion (112) with a reflective surface sitting over the semi-ellipsoid portion, centered on said focal point (F'1), aligned with the major axis (116) of the ellipsoid defined by this portion of the semi-ellipsoid, and having an opening (114) at its top similarly aligned with said major axis (116). A tubular cylindrical section (113) with a reflective surface can also sit at one of its ends on the opening (114). Means are provided for making the generator waterproof. In another aspect of the invention, the enclosure constitutes the walls of a sealed lamp, the opening at the top of the lamp being hermetically closed by a transparent cover. |
