PURPOSE:To regenerate and recover deodorizing performance and to maintain semipermanently deodorizing performance by cleaning offensive odor ingredient adsorbed to a deodorized by thermal decomposition. CONSTITUTION:An adsorption type thermal decomposition catalytic type deodorizer provided in an indoor unit of an air conditioner has a deodorizing unit having a material of metal, etc., coated with deodorizing catalyst mode of zeolite, alumina, silica, a noble metal, a rare earth element oxide, etc., and a heater in close contact with the unit. When a cooling operation is started, whether an operation accumulating time measured by operation accumulating time measuring means reaches a set operation accumulating time or not is compared by operation accumulating time comparing means 14. When it becomes a set operation accumulating time or more, operation of the heater is controlled by a heater drive controller 15. Thus, an offensive odor ingredient adsorbed to the unit is cleaned by thermal decomposition. In this manner, deodorizing performance is regenerated and recovered, and semipermanently deodorizing performance can be maintained. |
