REGENERATING METHOD OF IRON CHLORIDE BASED WASTE WATER CONTAINING COPPER

摘要

PURPOSE:To regenerate an iron chloride based waste water containing copper at low consumption of electric power to enable industrial use and to separate and recover copper component in the waste water as a high purity metal copper. CONSTITUTION:A ferrous ion is converted into a ferric ion by oxidizing the iron chloride based solution containing copper at first. Next, the contained copper is crystallized and separated as a crystal composed mainly of cupric chloride. The crystallized and separated cupric chloride crystal is introduced to the cathode in a circulating electrolytic process and is recovered as the metal copper and gaseous chlorine is generated in the anode side. The gas is used for the oxidation treatment of the iron chloride based solution.
