PURPOSE: To improve a linear follow-up property when a flow a rate is instantaneously varied so as to enhance the controllability of the amount of fuel supplied by allowing a movable iron core to move in such a way as to further separate an intermediate device even after a free end has left a second seat. CONSTITUTION: When a magnetic force applied to a movable iron core 8 is greater than the action of negative pressure on an area S1 , a cone end 10 moves away from a seat 16 to allow a certain amount of flow to pass through a cross section between the area 16 and the cone 10. As a result, the negative pressure decreases but keeps a faying surface 13 pressed against a seat 3 in that condition. When the movable iron core 8 has performed a stroke C1 , a projection 11 makes contact with the bottom 14 of an intermediate device 12. When the magnetic force applied to the movable iron core 8 continues to increase as E decreases, the iron core enters the center portion 5 of a coil and separates the intermediate device 12 from the seat 3, thus offsetting a flow rate passage cross section equal to an area S2 . Therefore, the flow rate of fluid passing through a valve can be freely and greatly adjusted in a short time.
