PURPOSE:To provide a printer, indicating the name of job or the like on a front page and facilitated in reading a print when continuous form is bound, and a recognizing mechanism, facilitated in recognizing the crest/trough of perforations, in a printer, controlling a separator page employed for securing a binding margin and becoming a cover, and a detecting mechanism for recognizing the configuration of crest folding/trough folding of continuous form. CONSTITUTION:A printer, receiving printing job data from a host device and printing on continuous form 2 by a printing means 5, is constituted so as to provided with a recognizing means 9, recognizing crest/trough corresponding to a printing page, and a crest/trough page control means 11, printing from a corresponding page when a result of recognition of a printing starging page is trough folding but printing after feeding one blank page upon crest folding. |
