PURPOSE:To provide a lactobacillus capable of producing a sennoside hydrolase having unprecedentedly high activity and provide an evacuant compounded with the enzyme. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to Bifidobacterium adolescentis which is a lactobacillus capable of producing a sennoside hydrolase having high activity and an evacuant prepared by compounding (A) the lactobacillus capable of producing sennoside hydrolase or the sennoside hydrolase and (B) senna powder, senna extract or sennoside.
