The far IR emitting and transparent resin is composed of 100 wt% transparent resin including more than 96% silica and 1-30 wt% the far infrared radiating ceramics of which particle size is 0.1-15 micrometer. The radiation efficiency of the resin composition is more than 80% against an ideal black body in the wavelength region of 6-12 micrometer, its parallel transmissivity to the total transitivity of light being 10-70% at the sheet body having the thickness of 2.5mm. The matrix resin comprises polystyrene, styrene- acrylonitrile copolymer, polycarbonate, polymethylmetacrylate, acryl based resin, transparent acrylonitrile- butadiene-styrene copolymer, styrene-butadiene copolymer, styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer and polyacrylonitrile resin etc.; an activating agent, a stabilizer, an antioxidant, a dispersing agent, an antibacterial drug etc. are used as additives.
