PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive thermal recording card realizing a practical colored display part by providing a thermal recording layer reversibly changed in transparency by temp. on at least one surface of a card base material and coloring the same with a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording card widely used for various cards such as a prepaid card, a member's card or a message card is obtained by successively forming a magnetic recording layer 2, a smooth layer 3, a light reflecting layer 4, a colored thermal recording layer 5 and a protective layer 6 on a card base material 1. In the coloration of the thermal recording layer 5, a commercial resin coloring material is used and, for example, in the coloration of a vinyl chloride type resin matrix, various methine, anthraquinone or disazo type dyes are used The thermal recording layer 5 is formed from a compsn. prepared by uniformly dispersing an org. monomeric substance in a resin matrix and the org. monomeric substance thereof becomes a single crystal state or a polycrystalline state by the difference of heating temp. to change the transparency thereof. |
