<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ethylene polymer excellent in uniform stretchability, rigidity, etc., by forming an ethylene homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene with a specified alpha-olefin so as to provide specified physical properties. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene homopolymer or an ethylene/3-20C alpha-olefin copolymer having an a-olefin content of at most 10wt.%, which has an intrinsic viscosity of 2-6dl/g, a density of 0.945-0.970g/cm<3>, a zero shear viscosity at 190 deg.C of 2X10<7> to 3X10<8> P, and an R value, defined by R=sigma1/sigma2 (wherein sigma1 and sigma2 are respectively tensile stresses at strains at 2 sec and 4 sec under flow at a tensile strain rate epsilon of 0.5sec<-1>), of 2.5 to 4.</p> |
