1,248,824. H.F. capacitative filters. RAYTHEON CO. 6 Aug., 1969 [22 Aug., 1968], No. 39456/69. Headings H1M and H1W. Connections to high-frequency apparatus (e.g. a magnetron 12) are contained within a conductive box 42 and supply leads 28, 29 are extended through apertures 50 in the box, the apertures having peripheral capacitative filters formed by internal and external conductive plates 43, 44 insulated from the box by thin dielectric members 46, 47 and conductively connected to the supply leads. The apertures 50 are filled with dielectric material which serve to locate feed-through conductors 51. The plates 43, 44 may be circular and of unequal size, the outer ones overlapping the material of the box 40 to such an extent that they form a radial choke effective at a harmonic frequency of the apparatus. The dielectric layers 46, 47 are larger than the sides of the box and overlap the internal corners. The box is clamped to the apparatus 12 by means of clamps 36, 37 and the access aperture 41 is sealed by a gasket 60 of woven metal mesh. |
