METHOD FOR IMPROVING COMBUSTIBILITY ON FUEL OIL AND THEREOF COMPOSITIONS

The fuel oil is produced by adding a polyethylene glycol polynitrate compound of formula (I) having an altyl gp. to a light oil or a heavy oil. In (I), R1 is C1-16 (un)satd. alkyl; m is 1-6; Z is CwH2w+1 aliphatic hydrocarbon [n=1; w=1-18 , Z is CxH2xO(x-2)/2 oxygen-contg. cpd. [n=2; x=2,4,6,8 and Z is CyH2y+2-n aliphatic hydrocarbon [n=2; y=3-18 . The cpd (I) is produced by esterfying a polyethylene glycol cpd. of formula (II) with a nitric acid. The fuel oil has a good ignition and combustion performance, improves a cetane number.
