PURPOSE:To improve heat transmission performance of a condenser or the like while checking contamination on the periphery of an air conditioner and scattering in drops by spraying a liquid against a heat exchanger serving as a condenser or a radiator to be evaporated before drainage. CONSTITUTION:This relates to an air conditioner equipped with an indoor heat exchanger 1 acting as an evaporator, an outdoor heat exchanger 5 acting as a condenser and an indoor blower 2 and an outdoor blower 3 which are driven by the same motor 4. In this air conditioner, drain water generated on the surface of the heat exchanger 1 through condensation of moisture in air is received by a plate 6 and atomized by an ultrasonic atomizer 7. The water thus atomized is sprayed against the heat exchanger 5. At this point, the pressure of a coolant in the heat exchanger 5 is detected with a controller 8. When the output is low, the atomizer 7 is regulated to reduce the input voltage thereof for less spraying. |
