The guarantee strip consists of the strip itself (11) with a hollow housing (12) on one end and a male fixing element (13) on the other. The male element has a pointed tip (25) and a transverse rib (27), and after it has been fitted into the hollow housing from one end it is locked in place by a cover element (28) inserted from the opposite end. The cover element comprises a head (29) and two branches (30) with inward-facing tongues (31) and projections to engage with the transverse rib and tip on the male element. The strip can also be equipped with studs (39) to provide a grip when the male element is being inserted into the housing. The guarantee strip is suitable for injection moulding.
