In the assembly, each panel (10) is provided with two opposite assembly sections (12) each consisting of a male rib (20) extending along one of the lateral edges (14) of the panel and a blocking rib (22) extending transversally to the male rib and parallel to the lateral edge. The panels are joined together in pairs by a joining section (30) provided with two opposed slots (28) designed to each receive by sliding an assembly section (12) of the panel (10). The two slots make an angle (A) between them corresponding to that to make up a multi-sided figure.
