Fixing device for end covers on paper reels

Each cover holder (26) used to place a circular end cover (16) against the end face (14) of the reel (10) is associated with adhesive strip dispensers. One side dispenser (50) is mounted on a side of the central plane (B) and is adjustable towards an edge area of the reel sleeve face. All the dispensers (40,50) are designed to dispense an adhesive strip which extends radially over an edge area of an end cover (16) and axially parallel over the adjoining edge area of the reel sleeve face (14). The or each side dispenser can be mounted for radial alignment on a slide carriage (48) movable on a side guide (44) at an angle, pref. right angle, to the centre plane.
