Metallic insert band (1) for trimming and sealing strips, which is bent to form a U-shaped clamping profile, having a multiplicity of slots (2, 3) which are arranged periodically and transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the metallic band and are guided inwards from the edge of the metallic band (1), the slots (2, 3) being arranged in pairs with in each case two slots (2, 3) lying opposite one another on a line, in which case, moreover, only one web (4) which is short in comparison with the width of the metallic band (1) remains between the slots (2, 3) lying opposite one another and finally successive webs (4) alternately have a smaller and a larger spacing from one edge of the metallic band (1). <IMAGE> |
